I am a dreamer, sure you can call me that but over the years, that dreaming has turned into something a little more intentional—a bucket list.
Not just any list, though. I have my list filled with moments I can almost picture myself in, experiences I can feel in my bones, and adventures that just seem like me.
Firstly, I want to do something simple but symbolic like wearing a bikini and going to swim and as for someone who’s never really done that, it’s going to be more than just splashing in water; it will be freedom, confidence, and maybe even a little rebellion. Then there’s the solo trip to Italy, standing in the Vatican, eyes wide in awe at all the beautiful things I read from Dan’s books. I imagine myself wandering through France, tasting pastries that are almost too perfect to eat but, before all that, I also picture myself launching my own book—a real event, with lights, guests, and copies of my thoughts in people’s hands. It feels like a movie scene I want to live. And how about driving a super-fast car? windows down, wind in my hair, heart racing—heart screaming “I am alive for this”.
Then there's Old Trafford. Growing up, the idea of being in that legendary stadium always felt like a distant dream and although that is no longer the case, I still want to experience the energy in those stands- you know just be part of something that massive. While I am at it, a road trip through a safe foreign country—maybe South Africa, Ghana, or Norway—sounds like the perfect mix of adventure and peace. I imagine myself experiencing a van-life too.
Some other desires feel more grounded, like cooking my own meals for a whole month (yes, every single day!). I can already picture the chaos in my kitchen—laughing at my new recipe attempts, but also celebrating my little victories. Yoga and meditation are on the list, too. Not just for fitness but for balance—something to keep me centered while I check off these dreams. Speaking of balance, I might want to raise a pet—something cuddly and full of personality. Then there’s the softer, more meaningful dreams: volunteering, changing someone’s life, and supporting older people and children. I definitely want to leave this world a little better than I found it.
Some dreams, though, are about pure fun. I want to try to learn salsa again, go wine tasting, and maybe even model for a top international brand one day. Oh, and I am definitely going to try that old and necessary Anita Beckham hairstyle. While we are at it, I might also go bald—why not, right? You know I dream of my fashion business going global, and I will admit, being a billionaire doesn’t sound too bad. But life’s not just about making money so, I might want to commission a library for a school, donate a lot to a community’s healthcare system, and then go see a ballet.
There are the big adventure dreams too—like flying my mom out for an epic trip, attending a stand-up comedy show, or getting a selfie with Rupi Kaur. Rupi? Please lord. How fun would it be to strut at an expo in Dubai and sit on big big boards wearing fancy jackets, or even own a truck one day? I guess at the end of the day, it will be all about balance, a little bit of fast cars, a little bit of peace, and a whole lot of joy.
I am looking forward. I am really looking forward.
When it happens, I hope you come back to this very post and share the beauty of the moments with us❤️
I pray you live out your dreams and experience as much of these things as you want… it’s what they say about writing thd vision and making it plain… love eeeetttt 🥰🙌🏻
